Brief History of the College
Perpetual Help College of Manila was opened in 1968 with key course offering of Nursing. As the Manila campus grows, other pioneering educators, managers and mentors joined the Perpetual Help Manila Family, thus the College of Business Administration was opened to further extend services to the Filipino youth and to respond to the call of the working environment. The College of Business Administration become the 2nd most numbered college to Nursing course.
The late Dr. Benjamin Intal was the Dean of College of Arts and Sciences, in which the Business Administration Department is under the said college. Because of his integrity and expertise in academe, Dr. B. Intal was assigned to Perpetual Help Biñan, to occupy a higher post in the management. Then Dr. Teresita Yabut was appointed as the Dean of the College of Business Administration and Secretarial Administration.
In 1987 due to illness she resigned and Mrs. Lucilla Hernandez, a faculty member was appointed as the Dean of College of Business Administration.
In 1998 Mrs. Hernandez decided to migrate to other country. Dr. Susan Mendiola from Perpetual Help Biñan was appointed as the Dean of College of Accountancy, Business Administration and Secretarial Administration. Dr. Mendiola reports to Manila once a week so she appointed Mrs. Rebecca DL. Madrid as Faculty Assistant of College of Accountancy and Business Administration and Mrs. Rosalinda M. Geronimo as Faculty Assistant of Secretarial Administration.
In 2002 the College of Accountancy was phased out because of the strong competition with other nearby business schools.
In 2003 Mr. Manuel L. Tamayo Sr., now the Chief Operating Officer , was appointed as the Dean of College of Business Administration. He appointed Mrs. Rosalinda M. Geronimo as the Department Head. Though Perpetual Help College of Manila is known as school of Nursing, the College of Business Administration can still maintain a break-even enrolment.
